ASVAB - Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery
The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude assessment that measures an individual's developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. Some of the abilities measured include the following: clerical, administrative, mechanical, technical, electronic, communications, science, mathematics. No longer exclusively used for military purposes, the ASVAB has been accepted and is being utilized by colleges and high schools in an effort to assess students' college and career readiness. Strafford High School has chosen to administer the ASVAB to all students in the first semester of their Junior year.
